A night of being a Hoosier B-Ball fan (I did it again)

Tonight UH played the University of Idaho. Of course UH won by 17. As for me, I got in the head of the top scorer Keoni Watson who scored 34 points out of the 64 scored by Idaho. As for the Hoosier in me I had Keoni listening and commenting to me. I had Keoni talking to me about the number of towels that he needed in the second half (for the short rest he got). Keoni actually grabbed a few extra towels for me (and only me). Keoni also responded to me when I asked if he wanted a beer, and then if he wanted a small or a large one, and then if he wanted a domestic or import, I then actually bought him a beer and offered it to him during the second half and after the game. Sorry I had to drink the beer for him (all in one). It was just one of those games that the whole student section (and some from out of the section) told me I did a good job. Now I just have to top myself for Riley's final game on Saturday. I will do my best to find a Boise State player that will talk with me, and I will try and win the last home game for Riley who will be retiring after the last game of the season. I am proud to be a Bows Fan and doing the best for the Hawaii team.

Being Happy

Hey All,

I just had an offer on a condo accepted. That means that I might be a homeowner soon. Also my relationship status is not that complicated.

Being Told You Are #1

Hey,

I just had to write a tell you that I got someone to flip me the Bird today. I was at a UH basketball game tonight and the benchwarmer decided to let me know that I was number one. I know it was towards me since I was the only one yelling at the time (and for the few minutes prior to the salute. Yup I am causing trouble at the basketball games and around.

I hope all is well with you,

Sean

Another Bobby Knight moment at UH basketball

I was being my quiet self just drinking a little beer, when I decided to inform one of the Louisiana Tech players that he was going to send a little time one the bench because of his 2nd foul in the first 6 minutes of the game. OK so I yelled that to the player as he walked to the bench and sat down. Then the weird thing happened he responded to me and started a nonverbal conversation with me. Letting me know that he like the comment and was interested in what else I had to say. So for the rest of the game I made sure he knew and would have nightmares of the guy in the third row was. The comment that got the best reaction from him was when I asked how cold he really was since he had 2 towels covering himself. I was just concerned since the stadium was a warm temperature. He just broke down laughing and gave me a little clap. I felt that I probably played a bigger part in his poor game than he did. The only thing that I hope his fellow benchwarmers told him was that I thought his dunk late in the second half was a good dunk. Just to let him know that I did appreciate a good play.

A day I wish I could forget

Aloha All again,

The other day I had the most embarrassing situation in a long time. I came into my apartment and closed the door behind me like normal. Well after that I was going to get something from my car and found out that I was locked in my apartment. Yes, Sean was locked in his apartment and could not get out of my apartment. I was trapped in my apartment for 1.5 hours. I was funny but a friend had to help me get out of my apartment. Who else could get locked in their apartment? Well just thought I would let you all know what is happening here in Hawaii.

The little things in life

Well life is going well out here in paradise. The little things that Iam dealing with that makes life so much fun is a new baby in the ohana (family). Actually the extended family....one of my old students had a baby boy and I and the "uncle" for him. She has given me a lot of respect, so she has also asked for some support from some of us.

Other than that little person in my life nothing much has changed out here. Work is work and fun is fun. I am hanging out with different people but it is all just in fun. I might have found someone, but nothing serious right now.

Now it is time for me to look for stuff for me.

Things That Make Me Go Blah

Hey everyone. Well if you know me, you know that I take pride in my work and I make sure I do it well. Life is kicking me in the ass and I am trying to take it in stride. Work this past week sucked. Well the down side is that I have deadline and some people think I don't give them enough time or think i should work like 12 hour days to meet their timetable and not mine. So this gets me upset because they must think I do nothing all day.

On the upside of this I am having fun and on february 9th I get to go to Maui and for my birthday I get to go to the Big Island for the state swim meet.

Remember, when all else fails laugh and make everyone think you are nuts

Homecoming 2005

Well Homecoming 2005 is done. The week was a long one for us. Besides doing my regular job as registrar, I worked on the project grad video so I had to shoot video of the noontime games. It was funny watching students do weird relays. On Wednesday night I helped create or annual "Flaming K"”. These are the pictures connected with the blog. Another teacher and I had to wrap the "K"”, move it to the field, put the fuel on the "K"”” and lifting it into place, and finally just watching it catch on fire. This is a strange tradition for me since we burn our letter and not much rah rah for beating the other teams like at NC. Finally we had a game against out rivals Kalani. The game was great since we won the game and the players did well. Oh yea, this should be funny to all the NC people out there, my new school colors are Blue and Gold while Kalani’s colors are read and white. What time will do to people.

Life was hard during this week since I was doing many jobs and not much sleep. The other great part of the week was Oktoberfest. I spent the night dancing and drinking and drinking with some friends. It was nice since one of my friends was in town for a funeral so it made him happy.

Other than that nothing much is going on here in Hawaii. I will keep everyone up-to-date as things happen here in Hawaii.
